![]() What is your name and how would you briefly describe what you do?My name is Paloma Pérez Lucero and I am an infographic artist, also called visual journalist, which means explaining, extending and simplifying a news or course of events for example. And this I've been doing for nearly eight years in various newspapers and magazines in Chile, Spain and Sweden. What part of your creative work do you like the most?I love the challenge of transforming what often is "heavy" or complex facts into a comprehensible visual information that attracts readers. I've lernt to be educational but without underestimating the reader. Do you feel like you have developed in your work?Absolutely! Like others in my profession I ended up in this niche by chance, almost without knowing what news graphics were. But by working with the best infographic professionals, both in Sweden and abroad, I have managed to develop myself within the profession very quickly. I'm very curious and have the ability to absorb and digest the advices and criticism I receive from my colleagues or clients and learn from my experiences with the result that I surpass myself as the perfectionist I am. |
