When I made the picture for the Culture Night poster, I thought about how much I missed going to exhibitions, concerts, theaters, museums and galleries during the pandemic. I thought about the importance of encounters between different expressions and the new thoughts that culture evokes at best. Thoughts that draw new tracks in the brain. I painted the tracks. Let one sheet meet another to see what happened when I pulled them apart. The picture was in a way the same but had still been changed. It's Culture Night for me.
